HAYA KADIJA

Haya Kadija, after Khadija bint Khuwaylid, the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the first to accept Islam. An affluent merchant of noble birth, she gave up her worldly riches and societal status for the sake of Islam. As a reward for her sacrifice and devotion, she was named among the four best women of Paradise.

The Kadija Gown honours her heavenly status with ethereal white lace. Glossy satin threads weave geometric patterns, reminiscent of Islamic art and architecture, that follow the contours of the body and extend along the single cascading sleeve. The embroidery rests delicately above the ankles, exposing the bare tulle base along the hem.

Underneath the sheer lace, in place of a lining, a separate dress in glistening silver satin radiates light from within. The strapless column silhouette drapes effortlessly down the body, falling at the ankle. Made from luxurious silk charmeuse satin, the dress is elegant enough to be worn on its own.
